- EEG (Electro Encephalogram) lab: located on the premises has state of the art EEG instrumentation and computers / software. The EEG procedure is performed under the supervision of Dr. Cynthia Kent and can generate digital graphic displays as well as QEEG maps. The interpretation is provided by Dr. John Hughes M.D. Ph.D. The EEG lab has the capability to accept EEG-s in electronic format from outside, for “second opinion” readings also provided by Dr. Hughes.
- Brain SPECT (Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography) is provided by “PathFinder Brain SPECT” which is located on the premises and uses a triple head Gamma Camera and advanced computers and image processing software. Dr. Dan Pavel is the Director of this Section and is providing the interpretation for Brain SPECT studies. The Section has the capability of providing multimodality image registration (ex. Brain SPECT coregistered to MRI) as well as SPECT to SPECT registration, for follow-up evaluations. It is also possible to import electronically Brain SPECT studies from outside for second opinion readings.
- Neurofeedback lab: located on the premises and directed by Dr Cynthia Kent. There are two procedure rooms with up to date equipment / software. Dr. Kent is also training patients and their families for home use of the technique with remote transmission of data for progress evaluation and adjustments provided by Dr Kent. http://www.eegbiofeedbacktherapy.com/
- Neuropsychological testing is mostly provided by Dr. L. Koziol, off site and, is followed by detailed communications and exchange of information with Dr. S. Best. http://www.hostzone.com/koziol
The activity of all these sections, in addition to Dr. Best's consultation area and to the administrative personnel activity is supported by an extensive network of computers, tied into a local server and subserved by extensive backup procedures and software as well as by powerful privacy protection tools. In addition secure electronic communications are provided with the outside world for transmission of diagnostic procedure data and for remote access by the professional staff, which in turn, insures a timely provision of services in a variety of situations.
